1-Step Flash Maximum Daily Profit Rule (Funded Accounts Only)
The Maximum Daily Profit Rule applies only to funded 1-Step Flash accounts. This rule is designed as a risk management measure to promote consistent trading and prevent excessive gains from occurring within a single trading day.
Unlike some other rules, this does not cause a breach. Instead, once the daily profit threshold is reached, the account will be paused for the remainder of the trading day.
Daily Profit Limit
| Account Stage | Maximum Profit Per Day |
|---|---|
| Challenge | No limit |
| Funded | 3% per trading day |
The 3% daily profit cap is calculated based on the starting balance of the funded account.
How the Daily Profit Limit Works
The rule operates as follows:
- The maximum daily profit is 3% of the funded starting balance
- Profit is measured per trading day
- The trading day resets at 5:00 PM EST
- Closed profits are used to calculate daily profit
- Once the 3% threshold is reached, the account will automatically stop trading for the remainder of the trading day
What Happens When the Limit Is Reached
When a funded 1-Step Flash account reaches the daily profit limit:
- All open trades will automatically be closed
- The account will be temporarily paused for the remainder of the trading day
- Any profit above the 3% daily limit is considered invalid and will be voided
- The account will automatically resume trading at the start of the next trading day
This rule does not count as a soft breach or hard breach.
A trader has a $50,000 funded 1-Step Flash account.
If the trader closes profits totaling $1,750 in one trading day:
- The account reaches the $1,500 daily profit threshold
- All open trades are automatically closed
- $250 in profits above the limit will be voided
- The account will be paused for the remainder of the trading day
Trading will automatically resume at the next daily reset at 5:00 PM EST.
Important Notes
- The daily profit rule only applies to funded 1-Step Flash accounts
- There is no daily profit limit during the challenge phase
- The rule pauses trading for the day rather than triggering a breach
- The limit is calculated from the starting funded balance
- The rule is measured per trading day, not per individual trade
- Profits above the 3% daily cap are invalid and will be removed
