The Maximum Daily Profit Rule applies only to funded 1-Step Flash accounts. This rule is designed as a risk management measure to promote consistent trading and prevent excessive gains from occurring within a single trading day.
Unlike some other rules, this does not cause a breach. Instead, once the daily profit threshold is reached, the account will be paused for the remainder of the trading day.
Daily Profit Limit
| Account Stage | Maximum Profit Per Day |
|---|---|
| Challenge | No limit |
| Funded | 3% per trading day |
The 3% daily profit cap is calculated based on the starting balance of the funded account.
How the Daily Profit Limit Works
The rule operates as follows:
- The maximum daily profit is 3% of the funded starting balance
- Profit is measured per trading day
- The trading day resets at 5:00 PM EST
- Closed profits are used to calculate daily profit
- Once the 3% threshold is reached, the account will automatically stop trading for the remainder of the trading day
What Happens When the Limit Is Reached
When a funded 1-Step Flash account reaches the daily profit limit:
- All open trades will automatically be closed
- The account will be temporarily paused for the remainder of the trading day
- Any profit above the 3% daily limit is considered invalid and will be voided
- The account will automatically resume trading at the start of the next trading day
This rule does not count as a soft breach or hard breach.
A trader has a $50,000 funded 1-Step Flash account.
If the trader closes profits totaling $1,750 in one trading day:
- The account reaches the $1,500 daily profit threshold
- All open trades are automatically closed
- $250 in profits above the limit will be voided
- The account will be paused for the remainder of the trading day
Trading will automatically resume at the next daily reset at 5:00 PM EST.
Important Notes
- The daily profit rule only applies to funded 1-Step Flash accounts
- There is no daily profit limit during the challenge phase
- The rule pauses trading for the day rather than triggering a breach
- The limit is calculated from the starting funded balance
- The rule is measured per trading day, not per individual trade
- Profits above the 3% daily cap are invalid and will be removed
The leverage available on 1 Step FLASH accounts depends on the account stage.
Leverage is higher during the evaluation stage and reduced once the account becomes funded.
| Asset Class | Evaluation Leverage | Funded Leverage |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | 10:1 | 10:1 |
| Indices | 10:1 | 5:1 |
| Commodities | 10:1 | 5:1 |
| Crypto | 2:1 | 0.3:1 |
Why Leverage Changes After Evaluation
The evaluation phase is designed to test trading performance and rule compliance.
The funded phase is designed for long-term account management, payout eligibility, and sustainable trading behavior.
For this reason, funded accounts operate with lower leverage than evaluation accounts.
The Daily Drawdown limits how much an account can lose within a single trading day. This rule is designed to protect the account from excessive short term losses and applies during Phase 1 and the Funded stage.
| Phase | Daily Drawdown |
|---|---|
| Phase 1 | 4% of Initial account balance |
| Funded | 4% of Initial account balance |
The daily drawdown is calculated using the previous day’s highest balance or equity.
How Daily Drawdown Is Calculated
- At the start of each trading day, the system records the highest balance or equity from the previous trading day
- The daily drawdown limit is set at 4% below that level
- Both balance and equity are monitored
- Open trades are included in the calculation
If balance or equity reaches the daily drawdown limit at any point, the account is breached.
Daily Reset Behavior
- The daily drawdown resets every trading day
- The new reference level is always the previous day’s highest balance or equity
- Profitable days raise the next day’s drawdown threshold
- Losing days lower the next day’s allowable loss range
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Initial Account Balance | $100,000 |
| Open Trade with Floating Profit | $4,000 |
| Account Equity at 5pm EST | $104,000 |
Daily Drawdown Limit: Your equity cannot drop below $100,000
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Initial Account Balance | $100,000 |
| Open Trade with Floating Loss | $1,000 |
| Account Equity at 5pm EST | $99,000 |
Daily Drawdown Limit: Calculated based on your balance of $100,000
Your equity cannot drop below $96,000
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Initial account Balance | $100,000 |
| Account balance and equity at 5pm EST | $105,000 |
No Open Trades at 5pm EST: The daily drawdown is 4% ($4000) of your closed balance.
Daily Drawdown Limit: Calculated based on your balance of $105,000
Your equity cannot drop below $101,000
Important Notes
- Daily drawdown is based on the hig hest equity or balance level at 5pm EST daily.
- Floating losses count toward daily drawdown
- Recovering above the limit does not undo a breach
- Daily drawdown applies independently from max drawdown
- The daily loss limit includes commissions and swaps.
- Exceeding your daily loss limit will result in account closure and forfeiture of any gains.
The Max Trailing Drawdown acts as a safety net for your 1-Step Account. Here's how it works:
- Starting Off: When you begin trading, your account has a 7% trailing drawdown based on your starting balance.
- Growing Your Account: As you grow your account and make gains, the drawdown moves up with your closing balance until you achieve a 7% gain overall.
- Locking In: Once you reach a 7% gain, the drawdown locks at your starting balance and no longer trails with your account growth.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Starting balance | $100,000 |
| Drawdown | 7% |
| Your account would breach if the equity drops to | $93,000 |
- If your account grows to $105,000, your new drawdown level moves up to $98,000.
- If you continue growing your account to $107,000, the drawdown locks in at your starting balance of $100,000.
From this point on, no matter how much your account grows (even up to $170,000), you would only breach your account if your equity falls below $100,000.
However, be mindful of the 4% maximum daily loss rule as well — [More Information here]

This policy is implemented to promote the continued viability and balanced growth of the Company, ensuring that resources are allocated in a manner that benefits the collective interests of all Traders and stakeholders.

1-Step "Flash" Lock Upon Payout
When you request a payout on a 1-Step "Flash" account, your maximum trailing drawdown will lock in at the starting balance. From that point on, the drawdown does not trail further, regardless of how much your account grows.
- If you have a $100,000 account and grow it to $110,000, requesting a $5,000 withdrawal will lock your maximum drawdown at $100,000. This will leave you with $5,000 of drawdown room.
- If you request a $9,500 withdrawal from the same account, you would be left with only $500 of drawdown room before breaching your account.
Important Note:
This drawdown rule is designed to protect firm capital, ensuring long-term sustainability. It also encourages traders to focus on long-term growth and compounding, which can lead to significantly larger payouts over time.
Welcome to Top One Trader! In this article, we will explain the "3 Profitable Days Rule," an essential target for all our traders to achieve.
What is the "3 Profitable Days Rule"?
The "3 Profitable Days Rule" requires traders to achieve at least three profitable days to pass their trading challenge and to receive a payout. This rule ensures that traders demonstrate consistent profitability.
What counts as a profitable day?
A profitable day is when all closed positions for that day result in a net profit of at least 0.5% of your initial account balance.
For example, with a $10,000 account, you need to make a net profit of $50 or more in one day for it to be considered profitable.
What is considered a trading day?
A trading day is counted from 5 PM EST to the next day at 5 PM EST. This 24-hour period is used to determine if your trading activity within this time frame meets the profitable day criteria.
How are profits on positions held over multiple days counted?
If you profit on a position held over multiple days, it still counts as one trading day. The profit is considered on the day the position is closed.
Do the three profitable days need to be consecutive?
No, the three profitable days do not need to be consecutive. You simply need to achieve three profitable days during your challenge phase to pass your challenge and three profitable days during your funded phase in order to receive a payout.
to pass your challenge
to receive a payout
Conclusion
Thank you for reading! We hope this clarifies the "3 Profitable Days Rule." Achieving this target demonstrates your ability to trade profitably and consistently. Good luck with your trading challenges and we're glad you're a part of the Top One Trader Family!
By continuing to hold trades during a major news event, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks involved. These risks include slippage, market gaps, delayed executions, and increased volatility. Top One Trader is not liable for any losses incurred due to slippage caused by news events.
Trading News Events
During all challenge phases, you are free to trade during news events without any restrictions.
For funded traders, however, it is prohibited to execute or close any trade within the window of 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after a high-impact news event.
Clarification on "Executing a Trade":
Executing a trade refers to:
- Opening or closing any pending order (including stop loss or take profit)
- Executing a market order
You are permitted to hold trades on affected instruments if they were opened more than 5 minutes before the restricted news window. However, if your stop loss or take profit is triggered during the restricted window, it will be considered a violation. Any gains made from such trades will be deducted and will not be eligible for withdrawal.
Violating news trading rules is first considered a soft breach, meaning your account will remain open, further violations might lead to a termination of your account.
10-Minute News Restriction Window Trading Rule
Trading is restricted within the 10-minute window surrounding a high-impact news event (5 minutes before and 5 minutes after).
Restricted Actions During the 10-Minute Window:
- Opening new trades (Market Execution/Limit Orders)
- Closing trades (Market Execution/Limit Orders)
- Modifying Stop Loss or Take Profit
- Placing Buy Stop or Sell Stop orders
News Trading Exception:
- If a trade was opened at least 5 hours before the news event, its Stop Loss or Take Profit can still be triggered within the restricted window without violating the rule.
- Any manual closing of trades within the restricted window will be considered a violation of the rule.
Traders remain responsible for ensuring compliance with this rule, as violations may result in profits being deducted and multiple violations may lead to a hard-breach.
High-Impact News Events:
Only high-impact news events that are directly related to the trading pairs you are working with are restricted. You are free to trade during low or medium-impact news events or events that do not directly affect your trading pairs.
Please note: All major U.S. high-impact news events (marked as 'Red Folder') affect all trading instruments, example of these News include:
- Federal Reserve Interest Rate Decisions
- FOMC Statements and Meetings
- Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP)
- U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI)
- Any other HIGH impact US news
In general, if it’s a high-impact U.S. news event, it affects all trading pairs. For a complete list of high-impact news events, please refer to our news calender FXStreet. If the calender shows the event as high-impact, it falls under the news trading rule.
The 1 Step Flash reset feature allows traders to restart their account after it becomes breached. This provides traders with a flexible way to continue trading without needing to purchase a completely new account.
Resets are available for both Phase 1 (challenge accounts) and funded accounts, with different pricing depending on the stage of the account.
Challenge resets are offered at a discount compared to purchasing a new account, while funded resets are priced higher because the trader does not need to complete the challenge again.
Reset Availability
| Account Stage | Reset Availability |
|---|---|
| Phase 1 (Challenge) | Discounted reset |
| Funded | Funded reset (increased price) |
- A reset can only be requested after an account has been breached and must be completed within 14 days of the breach.
- Funded Accounts that have received an approved payout are not eligible for a reset.
Once breached, the account becomes inactive and trading is no longer possible until the reset is completed.
1 Step Flash Reset Fees
| Account Size | Phase 1 Reset | Funded Reset |
|---|---|---|
| 5K | $15.20 | $95 |
| 10K | $34.40 | $185 |
| 25K | $68.80 | $290 |
| 50K | $91.20 | $690 |
| 100K | $258.30 | $1170 |
| 200K | $485.10 | $1500 |
When a Reset Can Be Used
A reset may be used when an account becomes breached, for example due to:
- Maximum drawdown breach
- Daily loss limit breach
Once breached, trading is disabled on the account until it is reset.
What Happens During a Reset
When a reset is applied:
- A new fresh Flash account is created
- The starting balance resets to the original amount
- Equity and drawdown levels reset
- Profit progress resets to zero
- All rules and parameters return to default
For funded resets, traders will receive a new funded account without needing to pass the challenge phase again.
Important Notes
- Resets do not act as refunds
- Resetting an account does not modify or remove trading rules
- Challenge resets are discounted compared to purchasing a new account
- Funded resets are priced higher because the challenge phase is skipped
- Reset availability does not guarantee successful completion of the program
- Resets can be done within 14 days of breaching the account
- Funded Accounts with an approved payout are not eligible for a reset.
- Any purchased add-ons will not carry over to the reset account
How to Reset Your Account
- Step 1: Go to Your Dashboard. Log in to your dashboard and click on the failed account you want to reset.

- Step 2: Select “Reset Account”. In the account metrics, you will see the “Reset Account” button. Click on it to proceed.
